The LAMY 2000 is LAMY's flagship fountain pen. For this black version, the body is made of a fiberglass Polycarbonate known as Makrolon, and brushed stainless steel trim provides accents. The lightweight body contains a traditional piston filler mechanism that can be filled with bottled inks only, and has a large capacity. The pen barrel also features four small window sections above the grip to view the ink inside. The platinum-coated nib is made of 14 carat gold. To fill the LAMY 2000, first unscrew the piston knob at the back end of the barrel. Submerge the nib in the ink bottle, and twist the piston knob back into place to suck ink up into the pen's internal ink reservoir. Remove the pen from the ink bottle and wipe off any excess ink from the nib and grip section.

This is my third Vanishing Point—and there's something undeniably charismatic about this fountain pen from Pilot. I had previously tried the fine and medium nibs, but as they say, third time’s the charm. The broad nib, in particular, is one of the best I’ve ever used—smooth, expressive, and an absolute joy to write with. Easily one of the best purchases in my fountain pen journey so far.
My only regret? Not choosing the broad nib sooner.
Great bright, water proof ink. Brightest blue ever. Bleeding is minimal, you can use regular 70gsm paper if using with a fine (European) or medium (Asian) nib. Only a light shade visible on the other side of the paper. Feathering is zero.

My handwriting is small, so I prefer extra fine nibs. With the Sailor, I was struggling to find extra fine in this budget. Immediately ordered when I saw it here. The pen is feather-lite, nib is super fine and ink flow is like butter smooth. Feedback is also really good that you feel like keep writing and go on and on!
