Taccia introduces the new Ukiyo-e ink as part of their fountain pen ink series. Ukiyo-e is a Japanese printing established in the 17th century. It features the life style, trend and play by the people of that time. Those colors used for Ukiyo-e are too delicate to be expressed in a single word. Our product Ukiyo-e ink reproduce these colors and will expand your enjoyment of drawing with fountain pens. This is the Hokusai and Sharaku collection which consist of 8 colors. Taccia Ukiyo-e Ink Fukaki Hanada is a Light Blue shade from a light sky blue to a medium blue, inspired by the woodblock print Kajikazawa. It comes packed in a 40ML glass bottle. Hokusai drew 36 kinds of landscape paintings with Mt.Fuji included as a part of the scenery. This unique style of landscape painting gained prestige.
Taccia Ukiyo-e Ink has the perfect balance to ensure nice flow of ink onto paper while being gentle on the pen nibs. The ink is carefully formulated with neutral pH value so that it does not damage resin or celluloid fountain pens.

Parker Premium IM Retuals Green Gradient GT Fountain Pen
First scented ink for me and it really put to shame the next ones I got. Has the smell of Kopiko sweet. This has a very pronounced and bold smell unlike other perfumed inks that has a faint mild smell. Really made my room smell like coffee when I accidentally spilled most of the ink of a full bottle. But I ordered another immediately as the ink was that good.
Coming to the color of the ink It has a nice dark brown color with some shading as well. No Sheen observed in TR68 paper. The ink isn't that dry but not very free flowing either. There's some viscosity to the ink. Not sure how it would perform on a dry feeding Pen. But this ink really deserves a wet medium to broad nib to put down that much ink to make the room smell nice as well as see the shading of the ink.
